Testimonials from recent networking workshops for researchers held for European and Australian institutions

❝

The information and steps for expanding my network were really helpful. What helped me most were the tips you gave in between and the way you talk about some things, such as 'triangulate' career advice, weak links from conferences, re-balance taking out of your network with 'pay it forward’.

❝

The workshop provides impetus for rethinking the existing network. The coach is highly competent and knows how to inspire others. Useful exercises during the workshop. We can verify that others have the same problems with network building and find out different options. Presentation is very informative.

❝

Talking to the teacher and classmates opened my mind. My thoughts became clear through chats. I received very warm and practical suggestions from senior people I met in the breakout rooms.

❝

I really enjoyed the workshop. Kerstin's presentations are very clear and concise. I liked that there were practical and specific tips given. What I enjoy the most about the workshop are the exercises. It is really good to put things onto paper, it helps to realise exactly what the specific issues are, rather than focusing on a broad/general question that is harder to tackle.

❝

I like the concrete hands-on approach, such as LinkedIn tips.

❝

The workshop offers step-by-step suggestions on how to improve the possibilities to create your own support network. I particularly enjoyed the exercises since they gave me both the time to reflect on my goals and practically define the strategies to achieve them.
